What would it take for you to keep your heart wide open.
No Matter What.
Have you noticed that when your children (or anyone) do something agreeable to you, that you are open to them, but that as soon as they do something you don't like, you close your heart?
What you are saying to yourself is that your happiness, your inner peace, is completely dependent on things being the way you want them to be.
This is, in fact, a lie.
What would it take for you to stay open?
To your children
To your partner
To the stranger, the other driver, the clerk, the weather
Yourself
Just AS IT ALL IS?
This girl walks around with her chest puffed out, her heart leaning into life, naked, with the juice of some food smeared all over her face. She devours every moment.
Thank you, dear girl, for showing me the way.
Stay open. Stay open. Stay open.
