Birthdays can be tricky, especially for mamas and papas. After all, you are doing the same thing on the special day as you are doing every other day...loving, holding, feeding, cleaning, story telling, wiping bums, soothing hurts. It's easy for the mind to roll out a woe-is-me story of ...but, but it's my birthday when things aren't going just as you'd like.
Today, everything was just as I'd like. And it is all so good, no matter what. Today and every day. No birthday plans turned into organic, spontaneous, marvelous living. Even though we missed Papa a whole lot.
a little river time...
making a cake, of course...
and Indian food made by sweet friends.

To top it all off, last night I downloaded and watched What If? and I wish for every single one of you to watch it. More evidence to reconsider how the world works and believe that anything is possible.
