Hi Kris - The blog relationship is so one-sided, it's almost unfair! But here goes: I live in Oregon, south of Eugene, on a 35 acre piece of land that my husband and I have rented for the past 10 years. We milk goats, raise pigs, and have chickens and a HUGE garden. We are both lucky to be able to work from home, so we each do part time childcare (for our 2 1/2 year old) and part time work. We spend a lot of time each day on animal and homestead chores, and then try to balance our "real jobs" with the rest of life! We feel pretty privileged to live a simple enough lifestyle that we can spend lots of time at home together as a family. That's a bit!

hi teri. isn't it interesting how many times i have rewritten that about statement? it is on my mind so much and just kept not feeling right not feeling right and for some reason, i felt like exposing my thinking in public! haha. you'd think that i would have tried it out in draft to be more "professional" but peeshaw to that. so thanks for saying something. i feel seen in kind of a vulnerable way, but it is delightful to share, nonetheless. thanks for being here. i am feeling settled about what is up there now (as in, haven't been thinking about it so we'll see!!). and that is so adorable that your daughter likes her. i love that you share this with her. and tell me more about you??? where do you live? what is a day like for you?

Love the photo, but I wanted to say that I love reading the constant evolution of your ABOUT section. This latest statement is quite powerful and really seems to capture what I've experienced here reading your blog.
On another note, I wanted to share that my 2 1/2 year old daughter thinks that Saschy is something of a celebrity. She talks about her quite frequently. For instance, "when it's hot out, we can wear a sunhat, like Saschy". And "I like to be naked like Saschy!"
It's hilarious.
