We went camping and took our family of elf hats (sans papa, sadly). These little wonders are so quick and fun to knit because of the chunky yarn. If you want to try making hats, or want to knit something satisfying and speedy, I suggest these. Somehow, two minutes here, five minutes there, I managed to make all three of these and it didn't seem to take too long. The pattern comes from book Handknit Holidays (for some reason I can't create link right now).
In the middle of the moonlit frosty night, I tucked these cozy caps on my two sweet sleeping babes on either side of me in the tent as we three snuggled deeper under the pile of sleeping bags. Blessed am I.
oh darn! your time will come when the time is right. wishing your partner healing.

yes, i think i could sew if i could find the time and space to figure it out without letting even more of the house "go". and now my sweet partner is on crutches! so alas, i don't think i'll be sewing right now.

thanks for this. if you can knit, oh you can sew...just about managing the chaos factor for your sweet partner.
