For play group today, we hung out with our dear friends and their sweet boy. They live in a yurt next to a creek in the woods, about seven minutes outside of town. Magic, I know. They work hard at it, though, let me tell you. No electricity (I'm researching bike powered blenders for them), the family bed in the middle of the one room they live in, chopping wood for winter, and baking hot days in the summer. It was sure glorious today, though, with all of us mamas and littles running around. Tonite going to sleep, Elliott said at least seven times...today was a really fun day, mama.
Aside from our gorgeous day, there are two more things I want to share with you. One is maybe the juiciest question I've ever heard:
WHAT AM I BELIEVING ABOUT WHO I AM THAT REQUIRES THIS SITUATION?
That is from the work of Philip Golubuk at the Field Center.
And...raw desserts.
This from Natalie:
banana, milk, ground cashews.
In our kitchen last night:
raw organic coconut butter (try here), raw carob powder, banana
AMAZINGLY delicious. Sweets you can feel so good about and lovingly feed your children till their bellies are stuffed. Ahhh. I like that.

i love the idea of living in a yurt. how magical! have you heard of yurtfolk? they came to our library to perform songs and dance last year. it was great!
