that's how it is around here right now. well, not every minute. like right this second, it is peaceful.
we are sick. again. our second major bout of illness this winter. oh my. i'm tempted to add unhelpful mental commentary of self-blame (what am i doing wrong that we are all sick again?). some moments are utter madness...both kids crying, snot flowing, everyone hacking then crying cause the cough hurts, nursing endlessly, wanting different things, and i feel awful myself. at night, they are leapfrogging with each other so that someone is always awake, or so it seems.
as always, breathing in and breathing out. quieting my busy brain. being just in this moment and nowhere else. knowing that it will change. that's what true healing is .
it just is what it is.
thanks rachel. thats what my sister has been talking about. she said it works to rub it on kids feet? im getting some. always glad when you pop by here...

It's nothing you did or didn't do. It's unavoidable and sucky.
Hope you all feel better soon.
ps: we love oregano oil when sick. It just cleared up a lurking strep infection. Needs to be way diluted for kiddos.

sucky, sucky, sucky. it's so hard when the kids are sick, but when you are sick on top of it? it's unbearable. Those are the times when some local extended family would come in handy. let me know if you need anything, I'll be out a little today and could drop off something if need be. Feel better.

sounds very intense. why is it so easy to question, doubt, edge towards depression and all the self-scrutiny it invites, with winter and sickness? it's amazing, and weird, to me, how different the psyche is when so down, interior, internalized. i hope you all are feeling better soon - maybe already. i'm a big drinker of hot teas with ginger, lemon, honey galore.

I know it seems like everyone is giving you their rememdies so here's one more, Green Defense the tincture from Meadowsweet Herbs. I hope you all get some sleep tonight. much love, stacey

Warm water: tea, tub, netty, soup; all these help run the river of healing along its way.
