hi angela: we bought a kit from our homeopath and you could probably order one through them (vital homeopathic). or, i think joette might have recommendations on her site about what to have in a kit. how are your travels? think of you often. thanks for checking in here, mighty mom yourself!!!

angela

what a great interview! i have been thinking for some time that i need a good homeopathy kit, would love any recommendations on where to get one or how to make my own? we, too, haven't been to a doctor in some time, and everyone is doing just great. but realize now that we are on the road that i really want to have a kit with us and a good book to explain it all so that i am prepared to care for my family as needed. here's to all the mighty moms!

Excellent interview. Highly recommended. Valuable medical information in today's world. Keep the medicine cabinet filled with drugs away from children.

Blessings,

I found this interview so interesting and accessible. I am sort of a newbie in the holistic medicine space (and I would love to find a holistic practitioner we trusted), but I've dabbled in the winter cold and mild ailments remedies. I mostly appreciated her reinforcing the mighty mom message. It helps build confidence in those listening. Thanks for doing and posting the interview.

Hi Anne:
Oh those moments of getting pressured by authorities and experts are SO CHALLENGING. How strong you are to stay tuned into your true interests for your children. Im glad for you. I wonder if there are any pediatricians out there who truly believe in holistic practices and trusting the parent and helping provide information without judgment or bias. I sure havent heard of many. We havent been to any conventional doctors since Saschy was born. She has NEVER been to the doctor! Im just so grateful we had a homeopath in whom I trust so deeply. It eases my mind to know that someone is there if the going gets tough. When Elliott was a baby, I felt pressured into all sorts of things that I didnt actually want and he ended up so sick, then antibiotics and now I think we are still healing from the impact of all that in his gut. Im so sad that I didnt trust myself and stay strong. Hard lessons. Glad you liked this interview. I want to buy her home course, for sure, because I think homeopathy is incredible. Take care, Kris

Kris-thanks so much for sharing this interview! I have been putting off learning more about herbal and homeopathic remedies and the like for too long...this was a good reminder to spend more time educating myself. I like what Joette said about being a "mighty mom"-we switched peds. right before my son was born because our current ped, imposed a very strict vaccination ultimatum on everyone that walked in the door. So we switched to someone 50 minutes away who has a reputation for incorporating holistic treatment. And do you know what she told me on our first visit? That (with one month until my new baby was due) I needed to WEAN my daughter?!? She didn't even ask if that is something that she or I wanted! I was taken aback to say the least (as was my awesome midwife), but I realized that I can't rely on others to tell me how to parent. But can you imagine if I were the type of person to listen to everything a doctor said? That would have been so damaging to our bond...Okay, now I'm rambling, so I'll just say thanks again for sharing!

As a mother of 7 (thanks Joette Calabrese for the shout out to large families!) I am very passionate about natural healing and using it for my family's betterment.

I don't know much about homeopathy. I am learning (self-taught via research & reading)about various herbs and how it may heal. I thank the Natural Parenting Center for this interview and Joette Calabrese for this invaluable information and her dedication to this cause.
